Class 14 & the Central Florida Zoo

Leadership Seminole Class 14's efforts to construct a log cabin to serve as a new facility for the Central Florida Zoo's educational programs have paid off. To date the group has raised more than $66,000!

    How You Can Help

The class is still seeking additional donations or in-kind contributions. If you would like to make a contribution to this worthy cause, or volunteer your time, please contact Joe DeSousa at 407-474-1328.

Classes 15 and 16 & Father Flanagan's Girls and Boys Town

Making a difference in the lives of at risk children in Seminole County is the legacy Leadership Seminole Classes 15 and 16 have chosen. They are making great progress in their attempts to refurbish and update the residential facilities that have housed more than 14,000 children in the last 20 years. Work has been completed on the second home and is underway on the third home.

    How You Can Help

    1. Calling all Volunteers! - The class is looking for volunteers willing to roll up their sleeves and help with cleaning, painting, tiling and carpet demo and installation. Skilled and unexperienced labor alike will make a tremendous impact in the lives of these very deserving children. This would be a great service project for a church or youth group.

    2. Donate Funds or Materials - The group is seeking donations for thin set, grout, carpet , and paint. For more information contact Colleen Hufford at (407) 699- 9194 or younghuff@aol.com. Dori Sigurdson can be reached at (407) 302-1249.

Class 15 and Leadership Seminole would like to thank the following organizations for their support of the project:

Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Brown & Brown PRIA, Citizen's Bank of Florida, Florida Business Interiors, Insight Financial, Lake Mary Kitchen and Bath, Mid Florida Hematology and Oncology, New Life Connections, Tri City Electric and numerous individuals who have made personal donations.
